(The notice will read "Mid-Year Parent Satisfaction Survey") This survey will provide us with valuable information on the performance & operations of your charter school. We appreciate your input and thank you for participating. The deadline for submitting the survey is May 25, 2012.
NO Full Day ISS (Grades 6th - 12th)
In order to protect our students' instructional time we will no longer be instituting full day In-School suspension as a consequence for poor choices. We will however be substituting any Level II action, page 35 of the Code of Conduct, for the ISS consequence. We feel that this will better serve our students by keeping them in their learning environment.

Gateway Charter School's Title II Plan
To view GCS's Title II plan please contact the office at 239-768-5048
Welcome to Gateway Charter School, a Florida "A" school, located in Fort Myers, Florida. We are a tuition-free public charter school serving students in grades K through 8.
All stakeholders will share the commitment to develop students, who are reflective, life-long learners prepared to contribute to society.
We believe a successful school involves the students, staff, parents, and other community members.
We believe that active participation on the part of students is required for them to learn.
We believe everyone deserves a safe, school environment.
We believe in providing a diverse curriculum that addresses student needs.
Charter schools are part of a sweeping educational reform that places the highest priority on providing a better education. Charter schools are tuition free and are funded much like a public school, but each charter school is governed privately. Private governance places accountability squarely on the shoulders of the entity running the schools. Every dollar spent through the charter school system is focused on furthering each student’s education. Unlike traditional public schools, charter schools must demonstrate success, or they will lose their charter. Charter schools can be managed by municipalities, private companies or individuals.
Gateway Charter School is a member of the Charter Schools USA family of schools. Charter Schools USA is one of the largest providers of charter school management services in the state of Florida. CSUSA manages private and municipal charters for grades Pre-K through 12.
