Enrollment
Enrollment for 2010-2011 began December 1, 2009. In the initial "Open Enrollment" period all applicants have an equal opportunity for admission regardless of submitting an application on the first day or the last day of "Open Enrollment." The Open Enrollment period is December 1, 2009 - February 28, 2010. Applications will be accepted in all grade levels. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spaces for any grade level, a system generated, random lottery will be held to determine who is admitted.
After February 28th, applications will continue to be accepted and admission will be offered based on the order in which the application is received. If a lottery is required and your application was not submitted within the Open Enrollment window, your application will be positioned on the waitlist in the order in which it is received.
UPDATE: The lottery for the 2010-2011 school year was processed on Friday, March 19th. Written or verbal communication was sent 4/12/10 to the parent's of those students who were offered a seat through the lottery process.
Families who were sent an offer letter must respond by April 23rd, 2010. Failure to respond to this deadline will result in your child losing the seat at Gateway Charter School. If the school does not receive a response during the time frame outlined, the applicant will be removed from the offered list and placed on the waitlist.
Please note: Gateway Charter School will not be hosting an Open Registration day as we have done in the past. Registration for the 2010-2011 school year is now being done online. Instructions on how to complete the registration process are provided in the offer letter sent to the parents of those students who were offered a seat or you may call the office for instructions. All registration paperwork must be completed as soon as possible. The summer office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm.

Prior to the start of school families must complete all registration requirements for each child accepted.
During the day school tours are held every Tuesday from 12:30pm-2:00pm by appointment.
