Burgess' Whale Stripes

Ms. Burgess' Kindergarten class had been practicing their musical talents in Mr. Chaprka’s Music class for several weeks before performing in front of an audience in the afternoon of January 29, 2008. We are so proud of our young musicians!

Winter Wonderland Book Fair

Thank you to Mrs. Thorstad, GCS librarian, and all of the parent volunteers who helped make our book fair a magnificent success!

Turkey Trot

A big "Thank You!" to our Enrichment Team for organizing a fun run on November 20! The winners per grade level received a frozen turkey to enjoy but everyone who participated had a great time!

Students of the Month

The Student of the Month program is to publicly recognize students for the positive contributions they make to their class and the school. At Gateway Charter School students are selected from each classroom to be honored as the student of the month. Grade level teachers select a student from their class who meets the following criteria:

  • Follows the Rules
  • Does their class work and homework
  • Models good character

Gateway Charter School Spelling Bee

The Gateway Charter School Spelling Bee was held on January 24, 2008. We are very proud of all the participants 3-8! Great Job! The participants earning first, second and alternates places will be asked to also participate in the CSUSA Spelling Bee on April 19, 2008 at Coral Springs Charter School. The middle school participants earning first, second and alternates places will be asked to participate in the Lee County Spelling Bee on March 27, 2008 at Three Oaks Middle School.
