The Florida VPK Program is a state-funded educational program for four-year-old children in Florida. The purpose of Florida’s VPK Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years.

Apply now during open enrollment on the school website. Once you have been notified of acceptance you must register at https://elcofswfl.org/ and complete the Free VPK Registration. Once completed, you must bring your VPK certificate of eligibility to the school in order to finalize enrollment for your child.

What is VPK? The Florida Voluntary PreKindergarten Program is a state-funded educational program for all eligible four-year-old children in Florida. The purpose of Florida’s VPK Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and beyond, and access is not based on income or need.
Who is eligible? If you have a child who will be 4 years old before Sept. 1 of the current year. Children must live in Florida.
VPK Program Hours:
8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday-Friday (FREE with VPK Certificate) for 180 school days
If you want your child to attend all day, the following services are provided:
- Wrap-around service: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for $350.00 per month
- Wrap-around service is voluntary.
- Before- and After-School Care Program available for those students needing supervision prior to 8:00 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m.
